My Review:
Mrudula's book comprises of short stories which are quite interesting and amusing to read. Reading these amazing short stories is by itself an interesting job which will make your time valuable. While reading this book, each one of the book's story proved to weigh emotional fare for me and to probably any other reader. She is a remarkable writer who uses simple concepts and language and yet manages to derive a deep meaning out of it that leaves the reader thinking about it for several days. There is no connection between these stories. There is no point in comparing each story with the rest of the other stories. Every story has its own value to add and a lesson to teach.
A collection of small different stories that will leave you thinking and gives you a different perspective about everyday things. Every story emphasizes on little details in life that go unnoticed so many times and will open your mind to a whole new array of imagination.The author makes you understand the point of view of not just humans, but the maternal instincts of a Sepal about the petal babe, a coracle or Tasha the dog. A line from the book that touched my heart goes like this:“Certain relationships can't have a closure too. Some souls continue to love even after death.”
A day spent with this book would open the eye of one's mind. You will begin to give heed to the minutest details that you may have taken for granted in your life. Each story brings a different significance to each of its reader. All these stories and the last poem in the end is thought aggravating, captivating, deeply expressive and moving. These stories don’t only provide perspective of the outside world but makes you look within. To question yourself, to allow yourself to untangle your flow of thoughts, to let your mind wander and make a decision of the concept against your beliefs.
This is a book for you if you like food for thought. It’s tells you stories about coexistence of all the things in the universe. It’s easy to read and probably you can gift it to someone you love.
